I have previously shown you how to add a LED light to the Dr Gauss - EMF Meter but i never got round to showing how to add the switch mod so that the meter stays on and does not time out many have emailed me asking for more details and how to add the switch which i have finally now gotten around to showing.

I would advise you follow the LED modification instructions on the below link to add the LED then follow the short instructions on how to add the switch.

Instructions

You will need:
Electrical wire, Soldering Iron, Electrical Tape, Phillips screwdriver, Stanley Knife & a SPDT toggle switch.

1. Follow the instructions on this post to remove the back from your EMF meter

https://paranormalderby.co.uk/blog/adding-a-light-to-your-gauss-master-emf-meter

2. Make a hole some where on the side of the case of the emf meter for the switch the size will depend on the switch you have purchased see below image of where i put mine. This seemed best place to not interfere with the circuit board so bear this in mind before you make a hole that it does not touch circuit board when closed up. (SEE IMAGE 1 BELOW)

3.
Attach 2 leads to top and bottom poles of the switch ideally red for positive and then add a negative lead to the centre poll on the switch.

4. You then attach one of the red leads to either the 0.1mg pad shown below or the 1-10mg pad depending on which way round you want it to work. For example top lead to 0.1 would activate this when in up position and and bottom lead to 1-10 when in down position. (center is OFF) ( SEE IMAGE 2 BELOW)
5.  Once its all soldered test the circuit before reassembling meter.
6.  Reassemble the meter

Notes: When meter is in off position after using either setting the meter will time out eventually which is normal and happens on the built in switch providing it is not picking up any emf on the needle you can switch it off sooner by disconnecting and reconnecting battery.
